At the press conference, Moshe Lichtman, mentioned that Microsoft sees the community and the educational field as their target and they consider them to be a very important part of the MS vision. You know what, I actually feel exactly that. As a blogger, MS had gave me a lot in return. From the Blogger's meetings, TechEd, the meeting with Steve Ballmer at the Press conference and etc, MS got out of their way to tighten the relationship with the community. Thanks!
I got to hand it to MS, I am really enjoying myself at the R&D Center. I got here at around 8:30 AM, and went to the Press conference, where Steve Ballmer, Danny Yamin and Moshe Lichtman gave a small brief about the future as Microsoft sees it. After that, we were allowed to ask questions. If I could summaries it, I really enjoyed it. For me it was a great experience. This is my first time at a press conference. Steve is a mesmerize person with endless charisma. One thing I had noticed was that...
I know that those of you who visited the DevAcademy2 had a problem selecting the lectures to attend. So, I have been asked to repeat my presentation on: "Application Performance Analysis With VSTS" However, this time I have much more time.... :) So, I am going to take my presentation and expend it further. So, what is on our menu? PDD (Performance Driven Development). Profiling our application with Sampling and Instrumentation. Investigate memory allocation and objects lifetime. Collecting...
I guess you all know by now, that Developer Academy is right around the corner (27/11/07). I expect it to be a great event, that should target the developers as implied by its title. All the best lecturers will be there, and me too. The title I want to use for my presentation is PDD by example . This is not a miss type, I did not meant TDD, rather PDD, which means Performance Driven Development. We all forget sometimes that Performance is also a requirement! However, developers always think write...
Are you tired of those events where instead of actually talking about technologies and such, they end up brain washing you with advertisements and marketing? I am!!! The "Performance day" ended up to be a marketing day where Sela group, RadView and etc, complemented each other and their ego. This is surely not what and why I came for. I was deeply disappointed. I think that this is a kind of manipulation that is spreading, so for future cases I would love to insure that non marking events will take...
Radview has organized a Performance day and to be absolutely honest I think that this is going to be a marketing kind of event. So, how is it so far? you got lots of Radview people running around trying to talk to everyone about their tools and how good they are and etc. There are nice food standings, however this early in the morning it is hard for me to put something in my mouth. Surprisingly (or not), everyone else is eating (well it is free and we are from Israel :) ). We have good music and...
In one of my previous posts I introduced Radview . Radview , company that develops testing tools, is gathering an event that will include P erformance D riven D evelopment (e.g. PDD) and Load Testing Web 2.0 and SOA. It is free and everyone can register to the event however the number of seats is limit.
