.NET Framework 4.0 = "BizTalk/SOA Express Framework" ? Ok, let me first say that this is MY OWN current mashup ! Well lets look at the current status: In the year 2005, Microsoft have released the .NET Framework 2.0 . In it was the FREE ( as opposed to the "you have to buy" ) products: ASP.NET 2.0 WebParts , ASP.NET 2.0 Memebership provider (a "Forms Authentication component") and SqlServer Express 2005 = what you got is the ability to write you own " SharePoint...

Visual Studio 2008, .NET Reference Source and Hwnd.cs Ok, Ok, Ok, so we're all trying ( or all ready done ) downloading the new Visual Studio 2008 RTM for MSDN subscribers , BUT ( and this is a BIG BUT ), we all remember the Channel 9 Video, Shawn Burke : Discussing the Release of .NET Source Code from the Source Code for the .NET 3.5 Framework Libraries post, Did any one tried it yet ? No ? Well just in case you were wondering, do you remeber something called MONO? the Free BSD (Like Unix/Linux...
The name Michele Leroux Bustamante (AKA "Das Blonde") always reminds me of the of the Beatles song "Michelle (ma belle)" . I AM A GREAT FAN of both her book learning WCF as well as her boss's book Programming WCF Services . Well it seems that meeting the person was greater ( for me ) than hearing her WCF Webcast Series . Well what can I say - I bought the book, for two reasons at first: 1. a CardSpace ( with WCF ) book, 2. the webcast series was great. But now I have A 3rd...

Single sign-on (SSO) is a method of access control that enables a user to authenticate once and gain access to the resources of multiple software systems. [Wikipedia] As you can see from the definition the Method helps in the Authentication Level, not in the Authorization Level, which is a completely different level. The basic occurrence, thus most common, is in one of the following: a homogeneous IT infrastructure a single user entity authentication scheme exists a user database is centralized In...
CardSpace: Behind The Code - http://blogs.msdn.com/card/ ( what else could it be ;) ) Well I don't know if WPF / WF / WCF teams have a BLOG outside the netfx3.com domain , but now the CardSpace team has one , and the above is their "space". Thinking of it, as opposed to the others, CardSpace is almost half product half technology ... Why ? the concept is based on the use of public WS-* protocols, and the CardSpace was written from scratch, with disregard to the Microsoft "Product"...
Windows Mobile UK has announced about The first wave of FREE Windows Mobile 6 upgrades for Windows Mobile 5.0 devices as a result all I'm thinking is MORE CARDSPACE FOR ME ;) For those who were in my Israel Visual Basic User Group - June 2007 Meeting one of the things we've talked about is the integration of the .NET Framework Version 3.0 into the mobile device , when the platform is Windows Mobile 5.0/6.0 . The point is that Mike Jones - Microsoft's Identity Diplomat has announced in the XBD07 ...
Hi I know at some of you have waited for the PPTX ( for now no PPT version , perhaps later ). I have to say that of the reasons for the delay was : 1. I tried to produce a normal PPT version , and it takes a while 2. The converted PPTX to PPT has produced from a 15MB file a 45 MB file of PPT :'( , thus I have tried most of the week to upload that version , and didn't succeed ( perhaps later ? I'm not promising ) It seemed, as I have expected, that the " piece de resistance " was the session about...

Mike Jones has seemed to take two things and put together: The Information Card new Logo The HTML Kit which he has built ... and put them together, so here's the result http://self-issued.info/wp-content/plugins/wp-infocard/login/login.php
CardSpace has "go live" licence , but no resources or components. That had just changed - Mike Jones has announced the availability, to the public, of two very useful kits: ICardClientKit.zip is the HTML kit. The HTML Kit is a " platform-independent JavaScript and CSS code that can be used to dynamically detect client Information Card support and tailor the web site’s interactions with the user accordingly ". This kit is usefull would be usefull for WebSites which are based on JAVA, PHP, Python ...
Richard Turner has announced " Announcing the Information Card Icon ". Due to the fact that currently OpenID is also considered an Information Card, you should take the note into consideration " This icon is NOT a Windows CardSpace Icon. It's an icon to symbolize that a site or application supports Information Cards, regardless of the identity selector used to submit an Information Token associated with any Information Card. ".
Dominick Baier seems to finish his Feature Complete Version of the ASP.NET CardSpace Control , which is now at version 2.5. The post includes also a small documentation which would help to incorperate the control into your application.
Windows CardSapce is unique , thus even by it's name. "Windows CardSapce™" is the official name of CardSpace and needs to be mentioned only once in the begining of an article, after that it can be referenced as CardSpace. Unlike it's colleges to the .NET 3.0 Framework the WF , WCF and WPF - it's not labeled as a Foundation , niether can it be short handed as WCS, why ? for starters WCS seems to stand for Windows Color System . If you think about it , sometimes it's good to be unique and shortning...
